Wall, rack or floor: choosing a LiFePO4 solar battery
Compare 25.6V and 51.2V battery formats, Ah options, usable energy and inverter matching before planning home solar storage.

Start with the system voltage
A home solar battery should be selected around the electrical system and the loads it must support. Wall, rack and floor-standing describe the installation format; they do not establish inverter compatibility or backup power. Begin with the inverter battery voltage window, continuous current requirement and available installation space. Then choose the battery energy needed between charging opportunities. A physically convenient enclosure can still be electrically unsuitable for the intended inverter.
25.6V wall mounted batteries
The Batelithium 25.6V wall mounted LiFePO4 series offers 100Ah, 200Ah and 314Ah options. It belongs to a different voltage class from the 51.2V products. For a 24V-class installation, verify the exact charge profile, permissible discharge voltage and BMS current limit with the selected inverter or charger. A secure mounting position also needs appropriate wall fixings, cable access and room for inspection; a compact appearance does not remove those installation requirements.
51.2V rack mount batteries
The 51.2V rack mount LiFePO4 series offers 50Ah, 100Ah, 200Ah and 314Ah options. A battery rack can keep modules and communication wiring organised, but expansion needs an approved parallel design. Check the rack loading, DC bus arrangement, isolation and the supported number of modules. A CAN or RS485 connector identifies a communication interface, not a guarantee that every inverter will interpret the BMS messages correctly. Confirm the model and firmware combination.
51.2V wall mounted home batteries
The 51.2V wall mounted series uses the same listed Ah choices in an enclosure intended for wall installation. Compare a wall installation with a rack using the same required energy and current, rather than assuming one format has better performance. Confirm the wall structure and maintenance access before ordering. The backup circuits, changeover method and inverter operating mode determine how stored energy reaches essential loads during an outage.
16kWh and 20.48kWh floor-standing batteries
The floor-standing choices include the 51.2V 314Ah unit in the 16kWh class and the 51.2V 400Ah unit with 20.48kWh of nominal energy. These can be considered where a wall-mounted enclosure is unsuitable. Compare both using the same essential-load profile and permitted operating conditions. The larger nominal energy figure does not establish a higher continuous output power. Check the battery current limit and inverter power separately, and provide a level base and safe service access.
Turn energy into a useful running-time estimate
For a first estimate, divide usable energy by average supported load. Usable energy is lower than nominal energy after the allowed depth of discharge and conversion losses are considered. A refrigerator, pump or air conditioner may also need short-duration starting power that is not apparent from an average energy figure. Use measured load information where possible, and treat a simple runtime calculation as a planning estimate rather than a fixed performance promise.
Check the complete installation
Before installation, record the exact battery model, inverter model and firmware, cable lengths, protection devices and charging settings. Check that the selected equipment can be isolated for maintenance. The related product pages below retain the detailed parameter tables and available options, so the installer can compare the proposed configuration with the current product record. Specifications from another manufacturer are background examples only and do not certify a Batelithium system.
