Battery PCS, microgrid converter or all-in-one solar storage?
Compare power conversion roles, AC/DC coupling and kVA ratings before choosing a commercial or microgrid storage configuration.
Separate conversion from stored energy
A power conversion system, commonly shortened to PCS, is part of the electrical interface between a battery and an AC installation. It is not the battery energy capacity. A microgrid converter and an all-in-one solar storage cabinet may include additional control or conversion functions, but their delivered scope must still be defined. Begin with the site duty and connection diagram, then identify which equipment stores energy, which equipment converts power and which equipment controls the system.
Battery power conversion systems
The Batelithium battery PCS series lists 15kW, 25kW, 30kW, 40kW, 50kW and 60kW options. Match the chosen power model to the battery operating voltage window and permitted current, then verify the BMS and EMS interfaces. A PCS power rating does not establish the battery energy that should be installed with it. Confirm any PV input function and its limits from the exact model documentation rather than assuming every converter includes an MPPT charger.
Microgrid power conversion systems
The microgrid PCS series currently lists 100kW and 125kW options. A microgrid project may need coordination between the battery, PV generation, a generator and controllable loads. The required controls and switching equipment depend on that project. Neither the converter name nor a communication connector proves that a specific generator will operate correctly with the system. Define the control sequence and test the proposed equipment combination during commissioning.
All-in-one solar energy storage cabinets
The all-in-one solar energy storage cabinet lists 125kVA, 250kVA, 375kVA and 500kVA options. Its purpose is an integrated conversion and control configuration, with the final battery and PV arrangement defined for the selected system. Confirm which PCS, MPPT, EMS and distribution components are actually supplied. An all-in-one description should not be taken to mean that every possible battery capacity, protection device or installation service is included.
Understand kVA, kW and kWh
kVA is apparent power, kW is real power and kWh is energy. For a specified operating condition, power factor relates apparent and real power, but the equipment continuous kW capability must still be confirmed. In particular, a 125kVA cabinet does not mean a 125kWh battery. Establish both the load power requirement and the energy needed over time before comparing the cabinet options. Do not convert one headline rating into another without the necessary operating data.
AC coupling, DC coupling and control
AC coupling connects generation or conversion equipment on the AC side, while DC coupling connects relevant equipment on the DC side of the system. The chosen topology affects power control and battery charging. A complete design must address voltage and current limits, protection, isolation and communication. Coupling terminology is useful for discussing the architecture; it is not proof that an arbitrary combination of inverters, batteries and generators can operate together.
Resolve the final configuration
Use the current model options as the starting point for a technical discussion, then obtain the approved datasheet, single-line diagram and delivered equipment list. If a brochure image and parameter table disagree on a model range, protection rating or temperature limit, resolve that discrepancy before purchase or installation. The product pages below preserve the full tables and selectors. External manufacturer references explain general concepts only and do not validate a Batelithium specification or compatibility claim.
